針對(duì)我國(guó)糧食安全的重大需求和生命科學(xué)的前沿問(wèn)題，本課題組主要圍繞農(nóng)作物和園藝作物中兩個(gè)重點(diǎn)問(wèn)題展開(kāi)。一個(gè)是探尋作物生長(zhǎng)發(fā)育中影響產(chǎn)量和品質(zhì)的重要性狀：株型發(fā)育（分蘗、株高、穗型等）和籽粒形成（花/穗建成、籽粒發(fā)育、品質(zhì)等）。二是圍繞 “作物的免疫識(shí)別和抗病機(jī)制” 這一關(guān)鍵科學(xué)問(wèn)題，以小麥赤霉病，辣椒疫病，十字花科根腫病為研究方向，探索細(xì)菌、卵菌、真菌等病原微生物如何逃避宿主免疫系統(tǒng)的識(shí)別，植物如何進(jìn)化出復(fù)雜的免疫系統(tǒng)來(lái)抵抗病原菌的侵染。同時(shí)，課題組還在土壤微生物群落多樣性與植物抗病力方面進(jìn)行探索，為綠色農(nóng)業(yè)和可持續(xù)發(fā)展農(nóng)業(yè)提供理論支持和技術(shù)支撐。
